The ceremony came exactly two years after the Eras Tour launched in Glendale, Arizona. To mark the anniversary, the show featured an exclusive performance of “Mirrorball” from that opening night.
Swift’s success at the ceremony wasn’t just about the special tour recognition. She also grabbed Artist of the Year, Pop Album of the Year for The Tortured Poets Department, Favourite Tour Style, Favourite On-Screen, and Favourite Surprise Guest for Travis Kelce. What makes the story interesting is that selling records and collecting awards were not Swift’s greatest achievement.
She turned her back catalogue into an experience, a way for fans to go on a journey through the different eras of her career in one night.
