Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Gets Another Major Honor

Taylor Swift may not have been in the audience at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 17, but she was still one of the biggest stories of the night. Swift’s Eras Tour has been honoured with the Tour of the Century award, in another major endorsement of the globe-trotting concert run that became one of the biggest entertainment events of the decade.

In a prerecorded acceptance message, Swift acknowledged her band, performers, crew, and fans, making clear that she viewed the achievement as a group effort, not a solo victory. The timing made the moment all the more fitting. The concert was held two years to the day of the start of the Eras Tour in Glendale, Arizona, with the broadcast featuring never-before-seen footage from that first night.

Fans also got an exclusive look at a performance of “Mirrorball” filmed during the opening show of the tour. Fans who had been on tour since the beginning could take a short trip back to where the whole spectacle had started. Swift was not the only winner that night. She was also one of the ceremony’s biggest winners, taking home several awards, including Artist of the Year and Pop Album of the Year for The Tortured Poets Department.

The Eras Tour was already more than a concert series. It made Swift’s entire musical history one long life story, moving from country beginnings through pop reinvention and into her more reflective later work. By the end of the tour, it had morphed into a cultural event of its own. The iHeartRadio award was just another trophy in the tale.
