On June 11, 2025, Dame Dash’s lengthy legal troubles took another turn for the worse when a judge ordered him to turn over assets to help satisfy an unpaid judgment.
The argument goes back to the film Dear Frank by filmmaker Josh Webber. Dash was involved in the project before being cut, and the dispute later escalated into a legal battle over copyright and defamation claims.
Dash was ordered to pay more than $823,000 in a 2022 judgment that has yet to be paid. By 2025, the situation was way past what the original lawsuit was about. Dash and related companies were said to be in danger of losing business interests and other assets.
