Jeremy Zucker finds solace in friendship on “Cry with you”

Jeremy Zucker’s new single from his second album, “Cry with you.” Zucker dropped “HONEST” in July, a song born out of the struggle of a friend. His friend struggled, and they were FaceTiming between New York and Los Angeles. That distance inspired a song about wanting to help, but not being able to do so.

That story is told in the restrained emotional ballad “Cry with You.” Sure enough, the soft acoustic guitar and lo-fi D.I.Y. beats make the track feel personal and homemade. Written & Produced by Thomas Michel, Alexander O’Neill, Jeremy Zucker, Mikael Temrowski & Hazey Eyes.

“Cry with you” is about friendship, empathy, and the helplessness of not being able to fix someone’s problems from a distance. We can all relate to Zucker’s experience of helping a friend, sometimes to be supportive is to share pain, not to have the answer. The soft instrumentation makes it more intimate and humanizes a difficult personal situation. ‘Cry with you’ proves that true care may be close, even when situations separate people.
