Now United continues to prove the strength of international collaboration with “Lean On Me,” a release that illustrates the group’s unique identity as one of pop music’s most globally connected acts. The song was released with a music video on January 15, 2021. Recorded and filmed in Dubai, UAE, it brought together performers from sixteen countries in a project celebrating diversity and togetherness. Written by Meron Ryan, Keith Hetrick, Francesca Richard, and Emile Ghantous, the single highlights the group’s desire to create music that transcends cultures while spreading a message of common connection.
The accompanying video also adds another dimension to the launch, with director Aiham AlSubaihi filming scenes at The Palm and The Paramount Hotel in Dubai. The locations are amazing and align with the group’s international identity and the idea that music brings people together regardless of nationality or background. The project is also a significant chapter in Now United’s continued journey as a truly global collective, following months of searching for their newest member from the Middle East.
The arrival of new member Ardakani is another important milestone for the group. The latest member, who represents Lebanon and the MENA region, is excited about the responsibility of being a voice for young people from the region while helping Now United’s multicultural vision. That sense of purpose is easily in tune with the positive spirit of “Lean On Me,” so the release becomes something much more than just entertainment. Now United once again shows how music can unite cultures and reminds us that strength lies in standing together, with a blend of international collaboration, striking visuals, and a message of unity.
